The New Media Writing Prize is open for entries. The Prize is awarded for fiction and nonfiction written specifically for reception on a PC, Mac, the web, or a hand-held device such as an iPad or mobile phone. Interactivity is a key element of new-media storytelling; the NMWP welcomes submissions of short stories, novels, poems, documentaries or transmedia work using words, images, film or animation with audience interaction.
The main prize is an award of £1,000. There is also a People’s Choice Prize of £500, The Dot Award of £500 to get a new project started, and a Student Prize which awards a three month paid internship.
The deadline for the Main Prize and Dot award is Friday 27 November 2015; The Student Prize deadline is Friday 11 December 2015.
